Blizzard’s Warcraft Rumble Mobile Gaming

Warcraft Rumble is now undergoing beta testing in the Philippines | PinoyGamer - Philippines Gaming News and Community

Blizzard’s new mobile game assembles miniature versions of heroes, villains and monsters to battle in the world of Warcraft. It’s a frantic action strategy game that offers a single player campaign, dungeons and PvP play.

Players can rummage for Rumble Coins throughout the Dragon Isles, Valdrakken, Orgrimmar and Stormwind to snag adorable-sized Minis. They can also purchase additional looks for their Minis using Rumble Foil.

Leaders, such as Warsong chieftain Grommash Hellscream and Archmage Jaina Proudmoore, help you to turn the tide of battle with their special abilities. They are a critical part of your army. Each family (Horde, Alliance, Beasts and Undead) has its own unique Leaders to collect. Leaders also power up your Minis. Leader levels are displayed along with your army level on the top left corner of the screen.

Leaders

Leaders in Warcraft Rumble provide a variety of abilities for players to utilize as they complete quests and battles. Each faction (Alliance, Horde, Beast, and Blackrock) offers a unique assortment of leaders with varying capabilities.

For instance, Grommash Hellscream from the Alliance family can be a solid choice for new players because of his ability to stun multiple enemies and attack them faster. Meanwhile, Jaina Proudmoore can be an excellent choice for the Alliance family, as she can heal units and teleport away from melee attackers.

Also, Baron Rivendare is a good option for the Undead family because of his ability to deal elemental damage. He also gains one level for every spell played, which makes him a productive leader. However, he isn’t as strong as Tirion Fordring.

Spells

About 18 months after it was first unveiled, Blizzard’s top-down strategy game Arclight Rumble (now simply called Warcraft Rumble) has finally launched for iOS and Android. After a closed beta, this mobile version of the game brings the franchise’s signature mix of tower defense and MOBA elements to life with a massive single-player campaign and competitive PvP battles.

Spells are a key part of every battle, adding dynamic effects to the mix that can change the course of the fight. Whether deploying tank units to soak up damage, fireballs that burn opponents to a crisp, or crowd control that slows enemies down, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of different spell types is critical for building an adaptable deck.

Choosing the right leader is also crucial, as they each add their own unique playstyle to your deck. Some, like Blackrock leaders including Rend Blackhand and General Drakkisath, reward players for focusing on heavy-hitting flying Troops, while others, such as the Undead leader Baron Rivendare, emphasize supporting abilities and tactical finesse.

Maps

After months of speculation, Blizzard has officially revealed its Warcraft experience for iOS and Android mobile devices. Designed specifically for touch-screens, Warcraft Arclight Rumble will bring lovingly sculpted digital tabletop minis to life and unleash them in epic melee battles.

Maps in Warcraft Arclight Rumble are dynamic arenas that challenge players with evolving enemies, faction dynamics, and strategic combat. As players conquer areas of the map, a variety of rewards will unlock, including additional maps and stages to explore.

In addition, a special type of reward called Skulls will unlock new challenges and reveal additional content. Skulls function similarly to levels, allowing players to progress through the game and unlock new maps and challenges as they accumulate them. These additional areas will include Meeting Stones that allow players to deploy units closer to the enemy base, Guard Towers to defend strategic points of interest, and Gold Nodes for plundering.

Combat

Putting your hero collection to the test in frantic melee skirmishes is where Warcraft Arclight Rumble really shines. With a rich skill system, you can customize your squad to fit your playstyle and battle tactics. For instance, if you have a lot of ranged units, you can hit hard from a distance while a hero with area damage can hit multiple opponents at once.

Chilton told me that one of the most important lessons learned during beta testing was the on-ramp process, which meant making it easier for players to find their groove and build a solid army before taking on the game’s more challenging PvP. To that end, Blizzard added a Heroic campaign mode inspired by the heroic dungeons in World of Warcraft that lets players revisit completed maps with harder twists.
